These HIEbee jack connectors are really nice. The jacks themselves are very high quality, and the braided bare-wire ends are pre-tinned so you don’t need to mess with the braided wire strands separating. Everything fits together very snugly, and the connections are solid. These are super convenient for solderless repairs to broken jacks or plugs (just hook the broken wires together and cover with electrical tape).I build many audio projects, and often this involves connecting some kind of audio plug or jack to a breadboard. This is where the pre-tinned nature of the stranded wire is potentially helpful to me. Unfortunately, these have been pre-tinned by hand, and sometimes the glob of solder is a bit too big to plug the end into a breadboard. However, that’s likely a problem very specific to me, so I’m not docking any stars for that (and it’s easy enough to fix if you re-solder them yourself). Just be aware if you want to use them like this.Final Rating: 5 stars. For the quality and convenience, these are worth the price. The alternative is cutting up old cords to build connectors like this yourself. These are a huge time saver.
