Moving to Florida means a lot of things. One of which is snail filters on irrigation lines. Snail filters? My irrigation system kept dropping pressure, dropping pressure, dry swaths, plugged up sprinklers, etc. Searching through YouTube one day for a solution, found out about snail filters. And that I had one I did not know about. A 100 mesh that was exposed to sunlight and full of green algae and snails. No wonder I was losing pressure. Needed a new filter, so I ordered a 60 and a 30. 30, with a sun block over the spin down housing, works just fine and give me back full pressure on all circuits. I swap them out once every couple of months, allowing the spare to be cleaned, with a toothbrush, and dried.
